Clay art at Serendipity Studio

Serendipity is the natural ability to find interesting or valuable things which one is not looking for. Clay art therapy supports this ability in that it provides the artist with emotional release and healing. It helps people to face the obstacles they have within themselves, and when stripped of their defenses, from that raw form, they begin to discover interesting and valuable things about themselves. Clay art therapy allows people to discover more fully who they are capable of being.  This earthly, solid mass is explored by the senses; pushed, pulled, hollowed out, added to and moulded, emerging into a creation which is an expression of experience, inner being and hope. Lee Hutt, a psychotherapist once said about clay therapy, “It’s the same kind of feeling that you get when you fall in love.”

Clay art therapy at Serendipity takes the form of small handmade artifacts, consisting of details which allow for the exploration of different techniques. These creations will be bisque fired and then taken home in their beautiful natural, yet detailed form.

Come and play while you discover your potential and rejuvenate your mind, body and soul.

Serendipity houses a personalized, intimate home restaurant, which caters for the more discerning visitor who enjoys healthy eating. Most of the vegetables served grow organically in the garden and visitors are welcome to browse around the veggie garden. These veggies are watered by fresh spring water which only a few streets in Philippolis are privileged to enjoy. Children are most welcome and there is a swing for the little ones and games to play for the older children. There are also games for the much older ‘children’ who want to linger longer and relax, or simply sit outside in the courtyard and marvel at the Milky Way.

To ensure a place, please book well in advance. Eating preferences will be discussed when the booking call is taken. Options include:

  • A three course meal

  • Seafood, vegetable & other pastas

  • Garden salads

  • Vegetable Moussaka & other vegetarian delights

  • Various Chicken dishes

  • Lamb Chops / Lamb Potroast

  • Desserts
